Kinward Privacy Policy

Kinward is an app for keeping memories, letters, recordings and guidance for the people you love. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Iosvisual, who makes Kinward — one independent developer, based in Italy.

Everything you add to Kinward — memories, letters, voice recordings, photographs, lessons, guidance, documents, your family tree, and the names, relationships, birthdays and email addresses of the people in it — is stored in Kinward’s private storage on your iPhone.

None of it is sent to us or to anyone else. We have no server that receives it, so we can’t see it, and we can’t recover it if it’s lost.

iOS encrypts it on your device. If your iPhone is backed up to iCloud or to a computer, Kinward’s data is part of that backup, under Apple’s terms and your own backup settings.

Deleting Kinward deletes everything in it. Settings → Erase everything does the same without deleting the app.

• Microphone — to record your voice, and only while you are recording.
• Photos — to add the photographs you choose. Kinward only receives the ones you pick.
• Camera — to scan documents you want to keep.
• Face ID — to lock your documents and guidance. iOS only tells Kinward whether it was you; your face data never reaches Kinward.

You can turn any of these off at any time in the iPhone’s Settings app.

Kinward never sends anything by itself. When you share something — a parcel for someone you trust, something to pass on, a letter — Kinward makes a file on your iPhone and hands it to the iOS share sheet. You choose where it goes: Messages, Mail, AirDrop, Files or another app. From there, that app and the person you send it to look after it, under their own terms.

When you open a Kinward file someone sent you, what’s inside is copied into Kinward on your iPhone.

Email addresses you add for trusted people stay on your iPhone. Kinward doesn’t contact them.

Sealed letters stay on your iPhone and open only when you choose to share them. Nothing is delivered automatically.

Purchases are made through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never receive your name, your Apple Account or your payment details. See Apple’s privacy policy.

To confirm a subscription and unlock Kinward Plus, Kinward uses RevenueCat, a subscription service. When the app checks or makes a purchase, it shares with RevenueCat a random identifier created on your iPhone, your App Store transactions for Kinward, and the technical details that come with any such request — for example the app and iOS version, your App Store country and currency, and your IP address.

This is used only to know what you’ve bought. It isn’t linked to your identity, used for advertising, sold, or used to track you. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.

Nothing you keep in Kinward is ever part of this.

• No advertising.
• No analytics, crash-reporting or tracking tools.
• No selling or sharing of personal data.
• No account, sign-in or profile on a server.
• No reading or processing of your content — by us, or by any AI service.

Kinward is made for adults keeping things for their families. It isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included. What a parent writes about their children stays on that parent’s iPhone.

Because your content never reaches us, it is entirely in your hands: you can see, change, export or delete any of it in the app, at any time.

For the purchase records RevenueCat holds, contact us and we’ll arrange access or deletion. Apple keeps its own records of App Store purchases under its privacy policy.

Depending on where you live — for example under the GDPR in the UK and the European Union, or the CCPA in California — you have the right to access, correct, delete and move your personal data, and to object to how it’s used. We’ll honour those rights for the little data described above. Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the performance of our contract with you (giving you what you paid for) as the legal basis for handling purchase data. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

If this policy changes, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change affects what leaves your iPhone, we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
