Smokesmart Privacy Policy

• Account information. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a unique account identifier (and, depending on what you allow, your name and/or email). We use this only to create and secure your account.
• Your tracking data. The information you enter or generate in the app: cigarette/cigar/vape logs and their times, craving check-ins and triggers, your goals, savings goals, baseline and price settings, and app preferences. This is stored against your account so it syncs across your devices.
• Usage & analytics data. To understand how the app is used and to improve it, we record in-app activity — for example: signing in, completing onboarding, logging an entry, opening the craving tool, viewing or purchasing a subscription, and which features you use. This product-analytics (“behaviour”) data is tied to your account identifier, not to your name, and is first-party only — we do not share it with advertising networks and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
• Diagnostic & error logs. When something goes wrong, the app records technical error and crash information (such as an error message, the part of the app involved, and your app and device version) so we can find and fix bugs. These logs are tied to your account identifier and are used only to keep the app working reliably.
• Subscription status. If you subscribe, Apple tells the app whether your subscription is active. We never receive your card or payment details — all payments are handled by Apple.
• Apple Health (optional). If you turn on Apple Health, the app reads activity/workout data on your device to show how exercise relates to your progress. This Health data is not uploaded to our servers and is never used for advertising.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Your account and tracking data are stored with Supabase (our backend and database provider), protected so that only you can read or change your own data. Data is encrypted in transit.

• Apple — Sign in with Apple, the App Store, subscriptions, and (optionally) Apple Health.
• Google — Sign in with Google (if you choose it).
• Supabase — secure hosting of your account and data.

Each has its own privacy policy governing the data they handle.

• Access & sync — your data is available on any device you sign in to.
• Delete your account — Settings → Account → Delete account permanently removes your account and all associated data from our servers. This cannot be undone.
• Apple Health— you can turn the Health connection on or off at any time in Settings, and manage permissions in Apple's Health app.
• Notifications — optional and controllable in Settings and in iOS Settings.

Smokesmart is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
