Using Folio

Folio is provided for your personal, non-commercial use. You must not reverse engineer, copy, or create derivative works from the app, or use it in a way that could damage or impair its operation.

A free, ad-supported app

Folio is free to use and supported by advertising served through Google AdMob. By using the app you acknowledge that it displays ads.

Ads are provided by third parties and their content is not created or endorsed by us. We are not responsible for third-party ads, offers, or any site or app they link to — engage with them at your own discretion. You agree not to interfere with, block within the app, or attempt to manipulate the ads it serves. How advertising data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.

Your content

Every document you scan is yours and stays on your device. You are responsible for your content and for keeping your device backed up.

Scanning & text recognition accuracy

Automatic edge detection and text recognition are approximate and may occasionally miss or misread content. Always review important documents.

Provided “as is”

Folio is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms limits any statutory consumer rights you may have.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the app, from third-party ads, or from any loss of documents. Back up anything you care about.

Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and is a third-party beneficiary entitled to enforce these terms.
